The estate

Astoria was founded in 1987 by brothers Paolo and Giorgio Polegato, from a family already rooted in Veneto winemaking. Their base, the Val de Brun estate in Refrontolo, sits inside the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG — the UNESCO-listed heartland of Prosecco Superiore.

The Polegatos farm around 40 hectares directly and work with local growers across the surrounding hills, at altitudes between 80 and 200 metres. Astoria has grown into one of the largest privately-owned producers in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene zone.

Prosecco Millesimato DOCG is the estate's calling card, alongside the rarer Refrontolo Passito DOCG — a sweet Marzemino-based wine tied to the family's home village.
