Elio Perrone

The estate

The Perrone family has grown Moscato in Castiglione Tinella, in the Asti hills of Piedmont, since the 1850s, selling grapes for generations before bottling their own wine. Stefano Perrone, a former professional motocross racer, took over the family vineyards and produced the first Elio Perrone estate vintage in 1989.

The estate farms two sites: the historic home vineyards around Castiglione Tinella, planted mostly to Moscato, and Mongovone in Isola d'Asti, an old-vine Barbera site Stefano purchased in the late 1990s.

Moscato d'Asti is the estate's core focus, made in two distinct styles, Sourgal and Clarté, alongside Barbera d'Asti and Bigaro, an unusual blend of Brachetto and Moscato.
