Fantini Vini

The estate

Fantini is the flagship label of the Fantini Group, founded in Ortona, Abruzzo, in 1994 by Valentino Sciotti and Filippo Baccalaro. Rather than owning vineyards outright, the company built its reputation on long-term relationships with growers across Abruzzo.

Fantini's grapes come from the Farneto Valley and other Abruzzo vineyards, with wines aged in the cellars of the historic Caldora Castle in Ortona, which the company restored.

The range centres on Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Trebbiano, alongside the numbered, limited-run Edizione Cinque Autoctoni — a blend of native Abruzzo and Puglia varieties released as an annual edition.
