Finca Fella

The estate

Finca Fella began in 2021, when Tommaso Ciampoli of Italy's Fantini Group came across a stretch of century-old bush vines while travelling through Alpera, in the Castilla-La Mancha uplands of central-eastern Spain. Rather than buying up the land, Fantini built the project around the smallholders who already farmed it.

The project draws on vineyard parcels spread across small, family-farmed plots at altitudes among the highest in Spain, still tended as low-yielding, head-trained bush vines, some over a hundred years old.

Fruit comes from poor, high-altitude soils under a harsh continental climate — dry summers and a sharp swing between day and night temperatures that concentrates aroma and preserves acidity. The range runs from indigenous Monastrell and Garnacha Tintorera reds to Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc whites.
