The estate

Don Totino migrated from Italy to Australia in 1968 and spent decades in food importing and distribution before turning to wine. In 1998 he purchased a rundown 25-acre vineyard at Paracombe, high in the Adelaide Hills.

The estate now spans over 100 acres at 420 metres elevation, where cool evenings preserve acidity in the whites while the site's warmer days build the depth of colour and tannin in the reds.

It's a distinctly Italian-Australian portfolio — Sangiovese and Pinot Grigio grown alongside Shiraz and Cabernet — reflecting Don's own journey between the two wine cultures.
