The estate

Vigneti del Salento is the Puglia estate of the Fantini Group, the wine business Valentino Sciotti built from Abruzzo before expanding into southern Italy's other regions.

The fruit comes from century-old, low-trained alberello bush vines around Manduria and Sava, on the western edge of the Salento peninsula.

The old, ungrafted Primitivo vines here — some among the oldest in the appellation — give the concentration behind the estate's flagship Primitivo di Manduria, alongside softer reds and fresh whites typical of this hot, sea-cooled corner of Puglia.
