Villa Chiopris

The estate

Villa Chiopris is an old noble estate between the villages of Chiopris and Viscone in eastern Friuli; through the early twentieth century it belonged to the Hausbrandt family, the Trieste coffee dynasty.

The Livon family — who founded their own winery nearby in 1964 — acquired Villa Chiopris in 2003 and restored the estate, adding a boutique bed-and-breakfast alongside the working winery and cellars.

Wines here follow the house style of the wider Livon estate: fresh, varietal whites led by Friulano and Sauvignon Blanc, grown on Friuli's Colli Orientali soils.
