The estate

Bepi Zardetto began making wine in the hills around Conegliano in the 1930s. Four generations later, his great-grandson Fabio Zardetto still runs the winery from the same steep terrain — some of the most difficult, and most prized, vineyard land in the Prosecco zone.

In 1984, Pino Zardetto became the first producer to export Prosecco to the United States, helping introduce the wine to a market that barely knew the word at the time.

The estate's vineyards sit on the eastern, steepest slopes of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG, hand-harvested and fermented using the traditional Italian method, in tanks, for the fresh, floral style the region is built on.
